About Us
A plain health reference
HealthPulls is a library of plain guides to everyday health questions. Most readers come with one question: what is happening at this week of pregnancy, what a symptom might mean, or how a common condition is usually treated.
How the site is organized
- Pregnancy, week by week: what changes for you and your baby from the first signs through the third trimester, plus guides on getting pregnant and caring for a newborn.
- Conditions A to Z: causes, symptoms and usual treatments for common conditions, filed by body system, from allergies and eye health to heart disease and diabetes.
- Everyday health: healthy eating, movement, sleep, mental health, dental care and other habits that shape how you feel.
How we write
We write in plain language and keep each guide to what a reader needs to know. Many guides list the sources they draw on, such as public health agencies and medical organizations, so you can read the original.
What HealthPulls is not
HealthPulls offers general health information, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Talk to a doctor, midwife or pharmacist about your own health, and call 911 in an emergency. See our Medical Disclaimer for more.
