Eczema Treatment: All Medical & Home Tips to Reduce Itching

Eczema or atopic dermatitis is a very common disease of skin in which skin become red, inflamed and itchy. It is most common in children but can also occur at any age. Not only medication can cure this, but the life style modifications are also advised to prevent it’s recurrence.Daily wash your hands and face. Keep your body clean. Use hygienic utensils, clothes and bed sheets. Take bath daily. Wash your daily clothes with warm water. Drink plenty of fluids.

Use Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera gel have been traditionally used for the itching, blemishes, acne spots or inflamed areas. This gel extracts from the aloe vera plant. This gel is enriched in anti-inflammatory substance, anti-bacterial properties as well as anti-oxidants. It helps reduce blemishes, itching, redness, acne marks, spots and pigmentation. It can directly be used on affected area or can be used in combination.
Take a fresh leave of aloe vera and cut its edges. Extract all the gel from the leaves and grind it to make a homogeneous paste. Then apply this gel into the affected area and leave it for 20 minutes. It also has ability of wound healing, preventing skin infections and immune system boosting.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is one of the most effective natural product that extract from the Melaleuca alternifolia plant. People have been used it from the centuries for the purposes of eczema treatment, inflamed skin, acne spots, burning or itching area because it has millions of anti-bacterial substances, anti-inflammatory substances and wound healing properties that help relieve skin dryness and itching and help prevent infections.

Use this tea tree oil twice a day. Clean your affected part with Luke warm water and dry it. Apply a sufficient amount of tea tree oil mixture with any Carrier oil such as almond oil on that area and leave it.

Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is very popular home remedy for the treatment of many skin disorders such as in eczema treatment. Vinegar is acidic in nature while the inflamed or damaged skin is slightly acidic in nature that can weakens the defense system of skin. Therefore, application of diluted cider vinegar can maintain or balance the pH of the skin. Don’t use vinegar without dilution, it can cause burn.

In contract, detergents or soaps are alkaline in nature. They can disturb the pH of the damaged skin surface and worsen the skin condition by making it more vulnerable to infections. Apply diluted apple cider vinegar on the affected part with the help of cotton balls and leave it for 15 minutes then wash it with lukewarm water.
