The second trimester of pregnancy starts from 13 to 28 weeks or includes the fourth, fifth, and sixth months of pregnancy. This is the trimester when women feel and look more pregnant as abdominal bump has appeared and pregnant women have more energy during this trimester than the first trimester. This ultrasound is basically an evaluation of your baby’s body parts, whether they are formed normally or abnormally. Your hemoglobin level is checked because pregnant women are more likely to be anemic and then suffered from postoperative complications.

Green vegetables, fresh fruits except for papaya, fresh juices not flavored juices, milk, tea, meat, and limited dry fruits you make take. Drink plenty of water. 1- Backache in Pregnancy
The weight that you have gained in the last months of pregnancy begin to put the pressure on your back and make it more sore and itchy. This extra weight is due to the growing baby inside the womb. This backache is a very annoying symptom that makes the discomfort. To ease this extra pressure, sit up straight and use such a chair that provides you good back support. Don’t wear tight clothes and also wear low heeled or comfortable shoes. When you go for sleep, put your pillow between your legs and also have a pillow on the back to support the back.
Avoid picking up heavy objects. If the pain is severe and more uncomfortable, ask your partner to rub the sore spots, or also consult to your physician.

Vaginal discharge consists of thin, milky, whitish, odorless discharge (leukorrhea) is considered to be normal early in pregnancy. If it is profuse, green or yellow, foul-smelling or bloody discharge, immediately call your doctor to get the prompt treatment. In normal discharge, you can wear panty if you are comfortable. But don’t use a tampon because it may become a source of infections due to germs.

Stress and anxiety are the major cause of headaches in pregnancy. To ease the headache, stay happy and calm. Stay away from stress. Take plenty of rest. Never use any medication like aspirin, ibuprofen, etc to relieve the headache without prescription.
5- Bleeding Gums in Pregnancy
Many pregnant women also complain of swollen and tender gums during the second trimester of pregnancy. Blood volume increase during the second trimester so more blood is sent to the gums which makes them hypersensitive due to hormonal changes. But these changes are reversible and went back to normal after delivery. For the time being, you should use a soft toothbrush and be gentle. But never skip your dental hygiene due to your gum bleeding because research shows that such women with gum bleeding are more likely to deliver a low birth weight baby or preterm labor.
