First trimester Pregnancy week 1 to 12

The first trimester Pregnancy starts on the first day of your last menstrual period and remains until the 12 weeks of pregnancy. It actually consists of the first three months of pregnancy during which the ovum is first fertilized with sperm, then attached to the uterine wall, and then begins to grow further. It is a very critical trimester because the main body systems are being formed in these three months like heart, respiratory system or lungs, and brain development.

Any malnourished, drugs, injury, or carelessness can cause the structural deformation of these systems like congenital heart defects, neural tube defects, the lung collapsed, or spina bifida. Therefore, pregnant women need very care, attention, and emotional support during this phase.
